02. Categories we use
We group the cookies and similar technologies on Prime Signal Desk into three categories:
Necessary (always on)
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They include remembering your cookie choice (stored under the psd_cookie_consent key), routing requests through our CDN, and protecting our forms from abuse. To keep our contact form spam-free we use a hidden honeypot field and Cloudflare Turnstile, which may set a short-lived challenge token. These run on the lawful basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service, so they do not require consent.
Analytics (consent required)
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These only load after you accept them. Where enabled, they may include:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — measures aggregate traffic, popular pages, and referral sources using pseudonymous identifiers.
- Microsoft Clarity — records anonymised usage and heatmap data to help us spot layout and usability issues.
- Meta Pixel — if enabled, measures the effectiveness of campaigns and may support audience features; it is off unless you consent and is the only component that can set advertising-related cookies.
Experience (consent required)
Experience cookies let us tailor and enhance non-essential parts of the site — for example, remembering presentation preferences or enabling embedded content such as an economic calendar or a Myfxbook performance widget. Like analytics, these only run after you have given consent.
03. Consent & gating
On your first visit we show a cookie banner. Until you make a choice, only strictly necessary cookies are used. Non-essential cookies — every analytics and experience component listed above — are gated and will not fire until you select Accept all cookies.
If you choose Necessary only, dismiss the banner, or simply continue browsing without accepting, no analytics, experience, or advertising cookies are set. Your choice is remembered in your browser so the banner does not reappear on every page.
04. Withdraw or change consent
You can change your mind at any time, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Select Cookie preferences in the site footer to re-open the consent banner and update your choice. If you switch from accepting to necessary only, non-essential cookies stop being set going forward.
You can also manage or delete cookies directly through your browser settings. Clearing your browser storage will remove your saved preference, after which the banner will appear again on your next visit.
05. Third parties
Some consent-gated cookies are set by third parties that provide the underlying services — for example Google (Analytics), Microsoft (Clarity), and Meta (Pixel). When active, these providers process data under their own privacy and cookie policies. We enable them only within the categories described above and only after you consent.
Separately, third-party affiliate links — for example to JustMarkets — may set their own cookies when you click them. Those cookies are governed by the destination site’s policies, not ours.
06. Retention
Cookies persist for different lengths of time. Session cookies are cleared when you close your browser, while persistent cookies — such as your consent preference — remain until they expire or you delete them. Analytics providers apply their own retention periods to the data they collect; those are set out in their respective policies.
07. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the tools we use, technology, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on the site where appropriate.
08. Contact
For more on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy. Questions about cookies can be sent through our contact page— please mark your message “Cookies” so we can route it correctly.
